The Qur’an School |
The Qur’an School is one of many projects run by the Leeds Grand Mosque which strive to serve the community and actively support education, training and the spread of essential knowledge. At the heart of all projects is the establishment of a strong link with the Quran, the book of Allah subhanahu wata’ala. The Quran School will endeavour to strengthen this link by investing in future generations in our community who are able to recite the Qur’an with accuracy and understanding. The Quran school further hopes to support parents to develop a positive link between its youth, the Quran , and the mosque community that is lifelong.
The Quran school holds classes at the mosque on Saturday mornings 9:30-12:00, will be resuming this year on Saturday 14 September 2019.
There are six levels based on ability and age. Children will be assessed on entry and then placed in the appropriate class. Our endeavour is to develop a mentoring programme with the older children to support younger students and further develop their own skills .
