Tafazal Mohammad works in the voluntary sector and is also a freelance consultant in youth and community work. He has a Masters Degree in Community Leadership; a Post Graduate Certificate in Youth & Community Development Studies and; is a professionally qualified (JNC) Youth Worker. His practical experience in the field (over 20 years) and academic research has given him invaluable insights into the issues and challenges that young people and marginalised communities face.
Tafazal has written tool-kits, presented radio shows and appeared on television. He has spoken nationally at major conferences around issues of faith, culture and working with young Muslims, particularly around the Every Child Matters agenda.
As the head of the Youth Department, Tafazal hopes to provide youth work activities for young people that will help facilitate their personal and social development.
