End of term ceremony for Children

January 30, 2014 We recently held an end of term ceremony to honour the children who attend the weekly Qur’an circles. Around 250 people came together to celebrate this occasion including the children themselves, parents and members of the public. Our imam, Sheikh Taher started the ceremony with a reminder about the benefits of not just reading the Qur’an but applying the Qur’an to our everyday lives. Ihab Ibrahim, the head of the project also gave a presentation in which he explored parent’s feedback about the circles and the progress the children had made at the end of this term. The children recited Qur’an for the parents and then entertained us with their nasheeds followed by a quiz competition between the older children - in which the boys won!
